Villa Céreste en Provence is a beautifully restored estate, idyllically located in the vast, unspoiled landscape of southern France. The villa sits on a private 100-acre estate (truly immense!), right in the heart of the protected Luberon “Parc Naturel Régional.” Despite its peaceful location, shops and restaurants are easily accessible.

With six luxurious bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, this charming villa comfortably accommodates twelve guests. The spacious, heated outdoor pool (upon request) offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills, while multiple terraces and seating areas provide the perfect setting for relaxation in the sun.

The villa has been lovingly renovated by the owners, who have drawn inspiration from a combination of traditional French charm and modern elegance. The property is managed by a local couple with extensive knowledge of the region, always available to assist and offer recommendations.

The Interior: Stylish Warmth and Comfort

Upon entering Villa Céreste, you will immediately feel at home. Natural tones, warm lighting, and inviting furniture create a welcoming atmosphere. Artwork from local artists adorns the walls, adding to the villa’s unique charm.

The spacious living room is bright and full of character, featuring high beamed ceilings and authentic stone walls. Large French windows allow an abundance of natural light to flood the space. There is always a comfortable spot to unwind, whether you are dining in style, curling up with a good book, or enjoying a board game with family and friends.

At the heart of the villa is the kitchen, a true gathering place with direct access to both the southern courtyard and the east-facing terrace. Designed in traditional Provençal style, the kitchen boasts original wooden beams, a large open fireplace (only decorative), and copper cookware, complemented by modern appliances for a seamless cooking experience. For added indulgence, a private chef can be hired to prepare a gourmet meal.

The six en-suite bedrooms are elegantly furnished, with five featuring air conditioning, even though the floor cooling also provides sufficient cooling in that one room. Each bed is equipped with a high-quality mattress and luxury linens, while the modern bathrooms are stocked with plush towels and amenities. Four bedrooms are located on the first floor, and two on the ground floor. Four of the rooms have flexible bedding arrangements, which can be set up as either double or twin beds. One of the ground-floor bedrooms includes a private sitting area. Every room offers stunning views of the garden and surrounding countryside.

The Outdoors: Enjoying the Provence Lifestyle

Villa Céreste offers a wealth of outdoor relaxation opportunities. The sun-drenched southern courtyard is a delightful spot to lounge, featuring comfortable sofas and chairs shaded by parasols. A long dining table invites guests to enjoy alfresco meals in the warm evening air.

Expansive lawns surround the villa, providing plenty of space for children to play freely. A gravel area near the entrance is perfect for a game of pétanque. The spacious eastern terrace accommodates twelve guests for stylish outdoor dining. A built-in barbecue makes outdoor cooking effortless, with the nearby kitchen ensuring added convenience.

The heated swimming pool (available upon request) with crystal-clear water offers a refreshing escape on hot days. Whether you prefer swimming laps, practicing yoga with a view of the hills, or simply unwinding on a sun lounger with a cool drink in hand, this space is designed for pure enjoyment.

For those who like to stay active, the villa provides various recreational options, including table tennis, badminton, foosball, and of course, pétanque. The surrounding area also offers numerous activities: just a few minutes away, the Véloroute du Calavon, a 52 km car-free cycling path along an old railway line, is perfect for bike rides or scenic walks.

For those who prefer to explore by car, a classic Citroën 2CV can be rented to discover picturesque villages, vineyards, museums, and art galleries in the region. Additionally, the nearby towns of Apt and Forcalquier offer an array of luxury spas, excellent shopping, and antique markets. The area is also home to a diverse selection of restaurants, ranging from charming bistros to Michelin-starred dining experiences.
